By far their worst album, imo, but Whistle is a vibe. It was my favorite song of theirs back when I first heard it.

This was a grower of an album for me, sandwiched between two of my favorites. Whistle and BEcause were immediate hits, but the rest took some time to marinate and repeat listens helped it a lot. It was very atmospheric where listening to it at the right time and place helped unlock an extra feeling or emotion that helped me enjoy the songs. I agree with others that Heart of Sunflower is one of their best ballads; it just feels like such an emotional build to the end, not to mention the lyrics. Super super excited for the next album. It was their first win, and my first Dreamcatcher concert and so forever will hold a special place for me.

This album pretty much summarized all the different emotions that a person can feel on a Summer Holiday. Don't forget that before the next Dreamcatcher comeback we are having a "Yaja Time" comeback, Sua said that they already finished filming the MV .

Both the videos were just full of wholesomeness and cuteness but one specific moment that I noticed that really warmed my heart was at 28:32 when rowoon gave high fives to everyone but accidentally missed Yeosang and Yeosang just kind of stood there awkwardly but then Dohun noticed this and held Yeosang's hand. As soon as Dohun grabbed Yeosang's hand, I just melted. That was so mature yet cute of him.

I haven't tried drinking that much... I have to get my ID updated xD also, I only rly go out w/ my family & so its... Somehow it feels embarrassing to show interest in that kinda thing. But anyway, I don't like beer either. Like the other thing I worry about is that I can't stand bitterness, like I don't drink coffee. So I thought I might not like it. Um, my dad buys Irish Cream that I like... I drink a lot of these little wine coolers at my grandparents place. They're fruity flavors, like my fav is a "lemon, watermelon, guava & strawberry" combo, or there's black cherry, & its carbonated. Tastes just like soda lol. Haven't tried it, but I bet I would like fruity cocktails. Oh also I tried this port wine. Pretty strong, but I liked it. I tried a sip of champaign like yrs ago & hated it. I liked the champaign flavored gummy bears more xD

Listening to A Heart of Sunflower always brings a tear in my eye because of past experience that also happened in the summer. I love and feel the lyrics so much. HanDong had translated the first verse of the song into Chinese and sang it (and several other DC ballads) in one of the special videos. The translated version (for those who don't understand Chinese because unfortunately there is no English subtitle) tells a slightly different version of the story but the words were beautiful.

Whistle is my favorite Dreamcatcher song. I discovered DC last July and after a week or so of just listening to / watching videos related to their title tracks, I came across Whistle. After the first listen, I pretty much went, "DC is my ult group...Whistle is the best song...and it's time to listen to their B-sides." ^^;; Like others have mentioned already, I definitely recommend watching a performance of this song. I really like the choreography.

Listening to Alldaylong, especially the lyrics at 22:51 after JiU mentioned it was inspired by Yoohyeon's back hug after a tough day just makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside. JiU is such a romantic OMG! ❤😊

Did you see the behind stuff for My Dance Buddy? It's so cute! I think all the parents and/or the kids posted something about their visit. The members got them gifts and staff/parents were surprised and touched that they did. Also Rowoon's mom was especially thankful of Seonghwa because she mentioned that Rowoon isn't at the same level of dance ability as Jua and Dohun, but Seonghwa was super patient and made him feel comfortable so that he could have fun. They are the best samchons.

Im happy yall got to this album. Thank you for being clear when you'll be doing the japanese stuff. I wanted to give a length warning because the next album is a full length, 14 track album. The 2nd half is all solo stuff... and as of this comment, all the special videos dont have captions and i know that'll take some time! Just wanted to make you aware. Alldaylong is such a precious song 😢

on the first day of my week holiday holiday, a great video to start off my relaxing week! whistle was my number one dreamcatcher song for the year this came out, but i do also have a soft spot for BEcause and airplaine. i always forget how much i like alldaylong and heart of sunflower until i hear them again <3

I think my other comment is gone but I just wanted add that Whistle has a choreo and was performed on one of their online concerts. There's like one video and it's gorgeous, don't know if it's reaction safe though.

When it comes to various traits of a good vocalist, I feel like conveying emotion and feeling is usually never talked about. And this is one area that I think Siyeon absolutely excels in after listening to all of her solo songs.

Crescent or 2 sounds like bursting out of that darkness and on the other side is a beautiful tropical beach, with tranquil waves and birds calling, to be greeted by the sight of a ship waiting for you. Like the end of one journey that marks the beginning of a new one

A Heart of Sunflower is my favorite Dreamcatcher ballad. There is something in the song that only a Korean would notice, and a Korean pointed it out to me so here it is. There's a word missing at the end of the last line in the song. As you're listening and expecting that last word the song just stops. That word is joa, the last word of the previous line, which translates as 'it's fine', 'it's ok' or 'good'. The person singing the song knows that their lover is not coming back, but they will wait anyway, forever if needs be. Their love is so strong that it isn't necessary to say it's ok. There's no other way it could be. There are people like this. I know some. I am one. Sometimes you can't just move on. 좋아

Also seonhwa bouncing around after the kids did the bouncy choreo was just so fucking cute.

Ahh I've been so excited for this album, Alldaylong and A Heart of Sunflower are in my top 5 favorite b sides from them, and whistle is somewhere in there too and Airplane is one of my most listened to songs LOL I really loved this album and it's probably the one I return to the most

Summer Holiday is such an underrated album, IMO. Airplane, esp, was a miss with a lot of Insomnia due to it not being their "usual" style - which I get, based on BEcause as the TT. However, given that DC basically can do any genre under the sun, I think it fits them. I love Airplane, it's such a fun bop when you're in the car, windows down, etc. LMAO the way I forgot about that Yooh part in the relay! JiU loves City Pop! So it's not surprising Alldaylong is a City Pop song! When you get to their solos, you'll find a very City Pop vibe in her solo Cherry as well. Cherry is her dog, btw, she wrote a song about how much she loves her dog, I cannot with her, she's so cute! <3 JiU spoiled that they are prob coming back in July! They have new hair as well based on their airport pics from yesterday! Since there are 7 members, and July is the 7th month, I would not be surprised to see something 7/7 perhaps? Especially since their concerts are Luck Inside 7 Doors, and there is the 777 Project. It just seems too coincidental!

I love that you commented on it as being sort of a story or arc. I've always thought that Summer Holiday tells a perfect summer vacation story. The for the bright daylight and excitement of the initial travel and arrival, you have Airplane, Whistle is the night of excitement after they've gotten together, and Alldaylong is a perfect late summer afternoon sliding into sunset. I've never been able to decide if I like the order it's in, or if I'd prefer Whistle to be after Alldaylong so you get the sense of urgency that things are ending, right before you get heart of sunflower, which is the bittersweet longing after they've returned to everyday life and are dreaming about the brightness of their summer romance again. I love your interpretation of Heart of Sunflower, I love the idea of them holding on to the love even though they know better because they're worried about losing their memories. Excellent interpretation, deliciously angsty. I didn't really like Heart of Sunflower when the album first dropped, but re-listening to it now I have to wonder what was wrong with past me.

To me, this album is the full story of a relationship. It started in BEcause where the relationship was really toxic and obsessive. So they planned a summer holiday and this obsessive one was loving it in Airplane. Whistle is some kind of obsessive. Like how Airplane is about the day and Whistle is about the night. They were having a blast Alldaylong. But the other party had other plans, which is to dump the obsessive one. So Heart of Sunflower is when the obsessive one was dumped, and telling the other to remember the good memories they had and waiting for them to come back together. It all links together very well.
